Tais Market

We stumbled across this market, having heard it was worth a visit. There wasn’t a great variety, and it is hard to be sure if they are all authentic, even with some women using their looms on the shop floors.

You don’t get a sense of being hawked at like in some other markets in Asia, nor a sense that the sellers are desperate for your money. A lot of kids playing on ipads or phones in the shops, which is amusing to watch.

Loads and loads of tais to choose from, a lot of repeated patterns though. Prices are good and don’t really need to be bargained down. You could buy one for $15USD.
