Best Location in Town!
I was in Dili for work, but wanted to have the feeling of being on a tropical island, not in a cookie cutter chain hotel. Esplanada was a great choice, as it is funky and has character but is very well run. The restaurant has a great view of the water, and the food was uniformly good. The front desk staff were very helpful to a newcomer who had to get things done.
Great place to stay in Dili
Lovely view of the sea from the restaurant, and view of the garden from the bedrooms. Staff very friendly and helpful, great breakfast. Nice that they have live music in the restaurant on some nights.
Highly recommended
This was my second stay at the Esplanada in 12 months. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is lovely. Sitting upstairs overlooking the ocean is an experience not to be missed. Highly recommended.
Really Comfortable
I stayed here with a school group I was traveling with. The kids love the pool the breakfasts were great and the meals of an evening were fantastic. It was nice to be able to walk out of the doors and be on the beach. Airconditioning was good and the bed really comfortable.
Great Dili Location
Stayed here for one night, after our extended stay in Oecussi, on our way out of country with our four teenagers. We have stayed in other Dili hotels but this is our favorite. You get a genuine sense of country with lovely, professional staff who can speak English, clean and comfortable rooms, a great open-air second story restaurant looking out to sea with varied menu options both western style food and Timorese specialties. Friday evening we hosted a farewell buffet dinner for about 25 people which was outstanding!! Kudos to chef Erica. The live band that evening, Arte Moris (Art of Life), was an exceptionally talented group of musicians and quite versatile. The restaurant offers a convenient and welcoming spot to visit with friends, or you can choose to sit poolside.
Great hotel
As always I had a wonderful time at the Esplanada. The staff are always so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The cafe bar is open air and overlooking the beach. Food is great, rooms clean & comfortable.
