This was well worth the climb and view. I think nearly every tourist to Timor would go up here but it was just a lovely time climbing with friends and appreciating the view and beauty of the place. It was a very special day.

I would have liked to see a board saying the altitude of the place. Maybe how many steps climbed, a little history of the statue and comparison with similar statues around the world. Anyway all that might come with time. Was nice to see some working on the maintenance of the place.

Hope it can remain relatively untouched and not become touristified! With shops and souvenirs being sold around.

A very good day of clean air and exercise and just seeing the simple beauty of nature, the mountains and the surrounding beach.
